José Miguel Cáceres (born December 24, 1981 in Tamayo) is a male volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won the bronze medal with the men's national team at the 2008 Pan American Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He play as an opposite.
Career
Cáceres won the "Most Valuable Player" at the 2004 Distrito Nacional Superior Tournament in Dominican Republic, helping Bameso to win the 19th Championship, defeating Los Prados in the 7th game of the final series.[1]
Playing at the 2005 NORCECA Championship, his team finished in 4th place, and he was selected "Best Spiker".[2]
At the Dominican Republic Sport Gala of 2008 Jose was awarded "Volleyball Player of the Year".[3]
Cáceres signed the Spanish club CAI Voleibol Teruel for the 2010-2011 season, joining countrymate Víctor Batista.[4]
For his performance during 2010, Caceres was the recipient of the Dominican Republic "Volleyball Player of the Year".[5]
For the 2010-11 season, Caceres joined his friend and countrymate Víctor Batista[6] at the Spaniard club CAI Voleibol Teruel,[7] winning the 2011 King's Cup[8] and the Superliga.[9]
In June 2011, Jose signed with the Italian team Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo to play the 2011-12 with that club.[10]
